This year, the event beneficiaries are Friends of Railroad Park and Lakeland Family Resource Center.

The Railroad Park Board is currently planning for what amenities the park will offer. The main focus is to showcase Spooner's rich railroad history and offer a gethering place for residents and visitors. The Railroad Park board and Friends of Railroad Park are working to preserve the roundhouse and exiting turntable for future generations to enjoy. Funds raised will go toward the beautification and preservation of historic railroad park.

Lakeland Family Resource Center provides programs and services that build on family strengths through prevention, education, support and collaboration with other resources in the community. Lakeland is avaialble to all families and children in Washburn County. All programs are offered at no cost. Funds raised will go towards helping these programs grow and ensure they continue to operate at no cost.
