Business/ Vendor Booth Information

Come advertise and network with your community about your business or organization with a Booth at our upcoming Jack-O-Lantern Festival. Please read the following for a thorough description of Business Booth Space Details and Rules:

Each Vendor Space is 10ftx10ft Only- If you desire to have more than one vendor space please contact the Chamber at (715) 635-2168. Please fill out form and submit before Oct. 1!

*No tables or equipment will be provided* You must supply your own.

2023 Hours: 12:00pm to at least 5:00pm (but can stay open until the end of the festival and catch the later crowd!)

Set-up time starts at 11:00am

Booth Space Set-up/Teardown: Festival officials will assign you space to you. All items must remain within you booth space. The Chamber will not be responsible for any items lost, stolen or damaged during set-up, teardown or while onsite.

Outdoor Set-up/Teardown: Booth Vendors must be setup prior to 12:00pm and remain setup until at least 5:00pm as advertised. Booth Vendors arriving without a reservation will be placed on a first come first serve basis. There is no guarantee of space availability without a reservation.

Space Payment Policy: Payment must be submitted with this application. Should you be denied, your payment will be returned to you. Booth Vendors may pay by credit/debit card, cash or check. There will be a $25 fee for any returned checks.

Absentee Policy: Should you decide not to attend, we ask that you notify the Chamber at least 48 hours in advance or you forfeit you booth payment. Send an email to the Chamber here or call (715) 635-2168 with any cancelations. 

Prohibited Items and Activities: The Spooner Area Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to refuse space or ask vendors to leave if items sold do not fit the nature of the market.

  1. No illegal items are to be sold.
  2. No counterfeit items or unlicensed merchandise.
  3. No firearms, ammunition or knifes are to be sold.
  4. No garage sale type items will be allowed.
  5. No packaged or prepared food, drinks or snacks may be sold unless you sell/carry those items in you business.

**The undersigned business/ participant agrees to indemnify, save and hold harmless the Spooner Area Chamber/ Jack-O-Lantern Festival, its officers, agents, and employees, from any accident, injury, claims, loss of merchandise, damage, acion, cause of action, judgement of liability of any type, arising directly or indirectly from participating. The undersigned also agrees to pay for any property damage of any sort in the event any damage is incurred during the event.**

Run for your life and register for the Spooner Area Chamber's 5K Zombie Run through Spooner's haunted woods, it's sure to be a spooktacularly good time! Read all the gory details below:

  • Saturday, October 14 | Registration 3 PM | Race Start 4 PM
  • Swag bags and race shirts will be provided to all preregistered runners. Please pick those up at registration. Preregister by October 1 to receive a shirt, swag bag and discounted rate.
  • 5K Zombie Run participants are encouraged (but not required) to dress up in their scariest zombie attire. A PRIZE will be awarded for the Best Dressed Zombie race participant for both the men's and women's divisions.
  • PRIZES will also be awarded to first place finishers in the adult and under 16 divisions.
  • You may run or walk the 5K. All participants will start in one wave. Competitive runners will be asked to line up first, then fun runners, followed by walkers. A time clock will be stationed at the end of the race and volunteers will do their best to record bib #'s and times. Unofficial times will be emailed after the race. 
  • We've increased the number of ZOMBIES this year, so be ready to "run for your life!" But, don't worry, they are not able to touch you, just chase you a bit.
  • While registration is on an individual basis, racers are encouraged to run with friends! Those under age 16 may participate as long as they run with an adult for the duration of the race.
  • Course terrain will contain paved trail and road/sidewalk. Directional signage and Zombie Run Officials will mark your way for you.
  • Race will be held rain or shine. No refunds.
  • All racers will be required to sign a waiver before participating. Waivers will be available at race registration the day of the 5K Zombie Run. Those under 18 will need a parent or guardian's signature on the waiver.
  • The cost of entering this year's race will be $25 if you preregister by October 1 and $30 if you register after the deadline or on the day of the race!

**We will be accepting day of registrations beginning at 3 pm at the festival grounds. cost is $30 to register the day of the event. swag bags and shirts are first come, first serve and not guaranteed for anyone who registers after october 1st.

Downtown Scarecrow Contest

To help make downtown Spooner look extra spooktacular again this year the Chamber will be having the second annual scarecrow contest for the downtown businesses by the festival for a chance to win awesome trophies and bragging rights for the next year! Entrance fee to the contest will be $10 this year.

Rules:

  • All scarecrows must be out for display by Noon on the day of the Festival.
  • Build your own scarecrow that represents your business/organization and place it outside (or in the window) of your business/organization.
  • Scarecrows must not obstruct pedestrians utilizing the sidewalks.
  • Entries depicting any acts of violence, nudity, political or racially insensitive activities will NOT be accepted and will be asked to be taken down.
  • The Chamber is not responsible for any damage made to entries during the festival.
  • Awards will be given in the following two categories this year:
    • Kids Choice
    • Peoples Choice
  • Winners will be announced on the Chamber's social media pages on the Monday after the festival (10/16/24)

Ballots to vote will be located at the Jack-O-Lantern wristband stand again this year. OR send an email with your vote to info@spoonerchamber.org  by the end of the night of the Festival (10/14/23)
