Our first Cakes at the Lake program of the year is Saturday, June 16. Cakes at the Lake is an all-you-care-to-eat pancake breakfast which features buttermilk and banana pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit, and beverages. Following the breakfast, guests are encouraged to stay for the free environmental program sponsored by the Long Lake Preservation Association (www.longlakellpa.org).
Learn about amazing insects with P.J. Leisch, director of the UW-Madison Insect Diagnostic Lab. We’ll discover some fascinating facts about the insect world and learn about the field of entomology.
Breakfast is served from 8:00 am to 9:45 am. Adults are $7, kids ages 5 to 12 are $3, and kids under 4 are free. The environmental education program starts at 10:00 am, and is free for all to attend.
